My favorite exhibit in Uptown’s Bechtler museum is right out front.<\/p>\n

It’s a sculpture by Niki de Saint Phalle called “Firebird.” But it didn’t take long before someone renamed it the “Disco Chicken.”<\/p>\n

Its myriad of mirror tiles attract attention from locals and tourists alike. Sometimes it’s as much fun to watch folks interact with the sculpture than to admire the D.C. itself.<\/p>\n

And it provided me with a fun way to take a self-portrait, on a wonderfully sunny Saturday:<\/p>\n
