I\u2019ve now had both eyes replaced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(well, not \u201creplaced,\u201d but it sounds more interesting than \u201ccataract surgery.\u201c)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it\u2019s as life-changing as if I\u2019d had them actually replaced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been wearing eyeglasses since I was 16, first for nearsightedness, then for that and farsightedness (never did understand how I could have both; shouldn\u2019t they cancel each other out?) and, more recently, to \u201cforce\u201d my eyes to work together).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, I need no eyeglasses for regular stuff. And, with a pair of reading glasses from Target (costing 5% of what the prescription glasses cost), I can read books, computer, phone, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still have another 4 weeks of daily eyedrops (a mix of an antibiotic, steroid and nsaid) and followup appointments. But, meanwhile… WOW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
